The property
Founded in 1831, the Albert Bichot house is a pillar of Burgundy, led by Albéric Bichot since 1996. With over 100 hectares spread over six estates, it covers all the major Burgundy regions, from Chablis to Beaujolais. The house stands out for its sustainable practices and its single-varietal approach, mainly pinot noir and chardonnay. The UNESCO climates and autonomous management by estate reinforce its prestige and commitment to viticultural excellence.
The vineyard
This Chambertin Grand Cru Domaine du Clos Frantin comes from a plot of 17 ares resting on brown limestone soils. The vines, averaging 40 years old, benefit from an exceptional terroir that gives the wine its characteristic power and complexity.
Vinification and aging
The grapes are hand-picked at perfect maturity. Vinification takes place in thermoregulated oak conical vats, with an average maceration of three weeks allowing optimal extraction of aromas and tannins. Aging continues in oak barrels, 70% of which are new, for a period of 14 to 18 months.
Grape variety
100% pinot noir.
