Description
A round, full and dense red wine from Madiran
Château Bouscassé is a property whose red wine is produced in the Madiran appellation. Covering an area of 50 hectares, the vineyard benefits from vines aged between 20 and 100 years on average, planted on fine yellow and white multicoloured clays, all over a layer of cracked limestone. The 2016 vintage blends 60% Tannat, 20% Cabernet Franc and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon.
At Château Bouscassé, the 2016 vintage was marked by a mild winter and spring that brought on an early development of the vine. The summer slowed this growth by being rather dry. This classic vintage has benefited from optimal grape maturity thanks to rain in September.
The Château Bouscassé 2016 is round, full and dense on the palate. One can observe aromas of fresh fruit, which make the wine delicious, while maintaining wonderful balance. Château Bouscassé 2016, thanks to the Tannat, has an exceptional ageing potential. To be kept until 2047-2067.
