The property
The Château Grand Corbin-Despagne is ideally located in the north-west of the Saint-Émilion plateau, adjoining the Pomerol appellation, on the right bank of Bordeaux. The estate was established at the end of the 18th century. This 2022 vintage is the 211th of the Despagne family on this estate.
The vineyard
The Château Grand Corbin-Despagne 2018 is a Saint-Émilion wine from a 28.79 hectare vineyard. The soils are of a clay-sandy nature with the presence of iron slag and ancient sands on clay. The vineyard and the wine have been certified organic since 2013.
Vinification and ageing
Ageing in new oak barrels (50%), one-year-old barrels (40%) and two-year-old barrels (10%).
Blend
This Château Grand Corbin-Despagne 2018 is the result of a blend of merlot (75%), complemented by cabernet franc (24%) and cabernet sauvignon (1%).
