Description
The typicity of a red grand vin from Graves
Produced in the Pessac-Léognan AOC, the Château Haut-Bergey 2018 expresses the personality of a red Graves grand vin.
Owned by the Garcin family in the Pessac-Léognan appellation, south of Bordeaux, Château Haut-Bergey oversees a 38-hectare vineyard planted in sandy-gravelly soils, resting upon clay subsoils. The vineyard is cultivated according to the principles of organic and biodynamic viticulture, certified by Ecocert. Cabernet Sauvignon (42%), Merlot (40%), Cabernet Franc (12%) and Petit Verdot (6%) make up the estate's red wines.
The Château Haut-Bergez Rouge 2018 is the grand vin of the estate. It is aged for 12 to 14 months in various vessels, including oak barriques, vats and concrete eggs.
