Description
A Pomerol red wine that entices with aromatic richness and vivacity
The estate
Located in the heart of Pomerol, Château L'Église-Clinet traces its origins back to 1882, when Mr Mauléon-Rouchut, Denis Durantou's grandfather, created a new vineyard by combining certain plots from Clos L'Église and Château Clinet. This vineyard on Bordeaux’s Right Bank, then known as Clos L'Église-Clinet, was renamed Château L'Église-Clinet in 1955.
Winemaking and ageing
The harvest took place between 3 and 9 September. The Merlot was harvested from 3 September and the Cabernet Franc from 5 September. The wine was aged in oak barrels (85% new).
Blend
Merlot (90%)
Cabernet Franc (10%)
