The estate
Located within the Haut-Médoc appellation, the Château Larrivaux is a wine estate founded in the 16th century. On a land where nothing previously existed, the house and vineyard were erected against all odds. The particularity of this vintage is that it has been managed exclusively from mother to daughter since 1580.
The vineyard
The Château Larrivaux is a Haut-Médoc wine from a vineyard of 18.5 hectares spread over 3 small islands resting on clay-limestone and clay-sandy soils. This terroir is HVE 3 certified.
Vinification and ageing
Alcoholic fermentation in cement and stainless steel vats. Ageing in barrels (95%) and amphorae (5%).
Blend
This Château Larrivaux 2023 is the result of a blend of Merlot (41%), Cabernet Sauvignon (26%), Cabernet Franc (24%) and Petit Verdot (9%).
