Description
2014 Francs Côtes de Bordeaux, pure Merlot from Bordeaux.
A few kilometres away from Saint-Emilion, the Chateau Marsau occupies one of the highest points of the Francs Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. Pure Merlot, this 2014 comes from 25 year old vines on average.
This almost black-tinted red 2014 Chateau Marsau has purple highlights. On the nose, the wine is very intense and expressive; it develops on black cherry notes enhanced by delicate grilled bread and vanilla aromas. On the palate, this 2014 offers a silky tannic structure that then evolves into a pleasant velvety and creamy mid-palate. The 2014 Chateau Marsau offers a good freshness that gives vibrancy to the wine. The finish is long on intense fruity and mineral notes.
