The structure and balance of an Alsace white wine
The property
Located in Bergheim, in the heart of Alsace, the Marcel Deiss House has been a leading ambassador of its region since 1744. Visionary, it offers a unique approach to wine: the plots are interplanted and all grape varieties receive the same treatment in addition to being harvested together. All cuvées are also vinified in the same way. The choice of biodynamic farming strongly contributes to this defence of terroirs in an Alsace which is one of the regions of France with the most soil varieties. Always ahead of its time and dynamic, Marcel Deiss is a must-visit offering a unique and fascinating approach to wine.
The vineyard
Huebuhl is an Alsace wine from a 1.6 hectare vineyard, located in Bergheim at Ribeauvillé. It is nestled between the Gruenspiel to the west and the Rotenberg to the east. The lacustrine clay soil and the windy and sunny weather conditions make this place a privileged theatre for the development of noble rot.
Blend
This cuvée is composed of a blend of muscat and an interplanting from the pinot family.
