A mineral and gourmet Pinot Noir from Domaine Nicolas Rossignol
The property
Nicolas Rossignol is the 5th generation of winemakers in the family on the Volnay appellation in Burgundy.
Trained within different estates and in charge of winemaking since 1994 at Domaine Rossignol-Jeanniard, Nicolas Rossignol created his eponymous estate in 1997 on the appellations of Volnay, Pommard, Beaune, Aloxe-Corton and Pernand-Vergelesses.
In 2011, the two estates Rossignol-Jeanniard and Nicolas Rossignol merged under the name of Domaine Nicolas Rossignol. With an area of 30 hectares spread over 30 appellations, the vineyard is cultivated in a traditional way, in reasoned fight, and according to methods inspired by biodynamics.
The vineyard
Located above the hill of Pommard, this wine comes from vines aged 30 and 65 years old facing due south on the Beaune side. This high-altitude plot, on a steep slope with poor and stony soil, was not affected by Phylloxera in the 19th century.

This Pommard Village Les Vignots 2018 from Domaine Nicolas Rossignol is a 100% Pinot Noir.
