Description
A Bandol red wine combining structure and aromatic richness
The property
A young Alsatian agricultural engineer, Marcel Ott settled in Provence in 1896 with the ambition that this vineyard, ravaged by phylloxera, could produce great wines. Even today, the Ott family continues this know-how to produce a range of Provence rosé, red and white wines from three estates, Château de Selle, Clos Mireille and Château Romassan. Created by René Ott in the 1930s, the emblematic bottle of the Domaines Ott*, recognizable among all, signs the quality of these great wines of Provence. In 2004, the Domaines Ott* joined the Louis Roederer house.
The vineyard
This Bandol wine is made from a selection of terroirs among the 90 hectares of vineyards spread over the eight communes of the appellation and resting on marl-limestone soils.
Blend
This Château Romassan "Les Préludes" 2022 from Domaines Ott* is the result of a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre.
