The property
The Jean Chartron House, founded in 1859, is located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, in Puligny-Montrachet. Jean-Michel and Anne-Laure Chartron, representing the fifth generation, perpetuate the excellence of this emblematic house. The estate is recognised for its environmentally friendly viticultural practices and its commitment to traditional winemaking, revealing the purity of the terroirs of Burgundy.
The vineyard
"Les Pierres Sèches " is a Santenay wine from vineyards resting on clay-limestone soils.
Vinification and ageing
Vinification was carried out entirely in oak barrels, 30% of which were new and 70% of which had been used one to three times. The ageing lasted 12 months on fine lees, followed by a period of 4 months in stainless steel tanks to refine the wine's profile.
Blend
Chardonnay (100%).
