Description

A lively and elegant Muscadet Sèvre et Maine from Domaine Jo Landron

The estate

Jo Landron, an emblematic winemaker of the Nantes region, is renowned for his respectful approach to the vine and the environment. His estate stands out for its biodynamic viticultural practices and a philosophy oriented towards the valorization of the terroir. The Loire wines signed by Jo Landron are appreciated for their purity and precision, a reflection of the richness of their terroir and the care taken at each stage of their elaboration.

The vineyard

This wine comes from the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine appellation planted on varied soils of gravel, clay and sand, bringing finesse and minerality to the wine. The unique terroir of this vineyard rests on soils composed of orthogneiss and quartz, geological formations resulting from the metamorphism of granite. These rocks, rich in minerals, give a singular personality to the wines, with an elegant minerality and a refined structure.

Vinification and aging

The harvest, entirely carried out by hand, guarantees a meticulous selection of the bunches, which are then directly and delicately pressed thanks to a pneumatic pressing, without destemming or settling. The alcoholic fermentation, spreading over 2 to 3 weeks, is carried out naturally with indigenous yeasts, thus preserving the authenticity of the terroir's aromas. The aging, for its part, takes place in glassed concrete tanks, a choice that favors controlled micro-oxygenation. This wine benefits from a long rest on lees, from 24 to 36 months, giving its texture a beautiful complexity and an exceptional aromatic richness.
