Mathilde, Michel Chapoutier's daughter, has taken over the torch of this iconic house, overseeing a vineyard of over 350 hectares across the most prestigious appellations of the northern and southern Rhône Valley.
The vineyard
Lieu-dit Saint-Pierre 2020 is a Cornas wine from vines planted on a granitic and clayey terroir facing southeast, located on the heights of the appellation at 400 meters altitude.
Vinification and aging
The harvest is destemmed before undergoing a 10-day fermentation in concrete vats. Maceration lasts between 4 and 5 weeks.
