The fruitiness and freshness of a Bordeaux Rosé
The estate
An 1855 Premier Grand Cru Classé de Sauternes, Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey is located on one of the most prestigious sweet wine terroirs in the world. Owned by Silvio Denz since 2014, Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey is a leader in the Sauternes terroir, producing wines that are internationally renowned for their quality.
The wine
Unveiled as a limited edition, the Maisons Roses de Lafaurie Peyraguey wine is the fruit of a collaboration with the Dubourdieu family, joint shareholders of Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey. This Bordeaux rosé is the expression of two fine Bordeaux grape varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, that stem from the Pujols area located near the estate. The bottle of Maisons Roses de Lafaurie 2021 is adorned with the engraving "Femmes et Raisins" (Women and Grapes) designed by René Lalique in 1928.
The vineyard
Maisons Roses de Lafaurie Peyraguey is a Bordeaux rosé wine made from vines located on clay-limestone soils in the Pujols sur Ciron area, to the south of Bordeaux. This terroir enjoys an excellent reputation with wines known for their finesse and aromatic intensity.
