The estate

Parker Estate, located in the Coonawarra region of South Australia, is renowned for producing some of the finest cabernet sauvignon wines in the country. The estate benefits from the unique terra rossa soils, rich in limestone, which bring great complexity and depth to its wines. Since its inception, Parker Estate has been dedicated to producing wines that express the best of this iconic wine region.

The vineyard

First Growth is a Coonawara wine only produced in vintages deemed exceptional, thus guaranteeing impeccable quality.

The vineyard of the "Abbey" estate of Parker Estate is located on the famous terra rossa soils of Coonawarra, recognised as one of the best terroirs in Australia for growing cabernet sauvignon. Planted in 1985, it is predominantly composed of Reynell selection cabernet sauvignon, originally from Bordeaux, which gives the wine a remarkable typicity and elegance.

Vinification and ageing

Fermentation for 11 days, total maceration of 38 days to strengthen the tannic structure and improve ageing potential. The wine was then aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 80% of which were new.
