Saxum Vineyards has become a must-see reference for great Californian wines over the vintages. Located in the Willow Creek district, in Paso Robles, Saxum Vineyards oversees an exceptional vineyard producing structured wines that elegantly reflect the nuances of this rocky and limestone terroir.
The sustainable management of the vineyard is combined with a minimalist approach to winemaking, in order to produce cuvées that magnify both the potential of its great vineyards and the specificities of each vintage.
The vineyard
James Berry Vineyard is a Paso Robles wine from a steep vineyard located about fifteen kilometers from the Pacific Ocean. This terroir consists of a shallow surface layer of clay loam covering an ancient seabed with now fossilized shells.
Blend
This 2021 James Berry Vineyard from Saxum Vineyards is the result of a blend of Grenache (53%), Mataro (31%), Syrah (6%), Counoise (6%) and Carignan (4%).
