The property
The family estate Liger-Belair is rooted in history since the 18th century. With six years of studies in viticulture and oenology, Thibault Liger-Belair passionately manages this 7.25-hectare property today. Cultivated according to the principles of organic farming and biodynamics, the estate embodies a constant quest for excellence. Each stage of production is carefully rethought to guarantee impeccable quality. Respectful of the diversity of its terroirs, the estate meticulously adapts its work to each plot, taking into account the specificities of the soils and climates unique to each appellation.
The vineyard
The Moulin-à-Vent appellation, whose name evokes a 15th-century mill majestically overlooking the vineyard, flourishes on 71 named places, revealing a mosaic of exceptional terroirs.
Vinification and aging
The grapes are hand-picked, with a proportion of 40% to 50% whole bunches. The fermentation, lasting three weeks, takes place in open vats, promoting a fine extraction. The aging is then carried out in barrels that have been used one to three times, for a minimum period of 18 months.
