A Valpolicella Classico Superiore wine revealing the essence of great Venetian terroirs

The property

Founded in 1902, the Tommasi house is a key player in the Valpolicella wine region. Represented by the fourth generation, this family aims to produce prestigious wines that redefine the standards of the Veneto region.

The vineyard

This De Buris Valpolicella Classico Superiore cuvée is a Venetian wine made from the La Groletta vineyard, located on the heights of Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella. Benefiting from an ideal south-west exposure and the beneficial influence of Lake Garda, this terroir rests on a soil composed of clay and limestone, offering optimal conditions for these vines, averaging 30 years old, known for their low yields and exceptional aromatic concentration.

Vinification and ageing

The carefully hand-harvested grapes are vinified at controlled temperature during the months of September and October. The wine is then aged for 3 years in large Slavonian oak casks, in the old cellars of the Villa De Buris, then refined for 2 years in stainless steel tanks before resting in the bottle. This long maturation allows the wine to develop remarkable complexity and finesse.

Blend

Corvina (65%), corvinone (15%), rondinella (15%) and oseleta (5%).
