The estate
The oenologist Xavier Vignon has built an international reputation by providing expert advice to more than 200 estates and participating in the development of the most prestigious wines from the Rhône Valley, especially in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. In 2002, he began to create his own "Xavier" cuvées, blending the best "juices" from carefully selected parcels. Without any constraint of terroir or grape variety, Xavier Vignon creates his ideal wine: simple, modern, and above all, impressively good value for money. The 100% Xavier was born.
The wine
This wine from the Rhône Valley signed Xavier Vignon is made from grapes from a selection of more than 40 different parcels, located on the coolest terroirs of the appellation.
Vinification and aging
If the roussanne is fermented and aged for 6 months in oak barrels, the clairette and grenache are fermented at low temperature to preserve their minerality. Following the blend, the aging of this Châteauneuf du Pape wine is carried out in concrete and stainless steel tanks.
