The property

An extraordinary winemaker, Xavier Vignon has been considered one of the greatest specialists in the Southern Rhône Valley for over twenty years. Each cuvée signed by Xavier Vignon accurately reflects his desire to reveal the identity of the great Rhône terroirs while having a unique identity: the Xavier Vignon identity. His exclusive creations highlight all his creativity, as shown by the Arcane collection, which promises enthusiasts an incredible sensory and gustatory experience.

Vinification and ageing

The Extra cuvée comes from an innovative ageing technique, created by Xavier Vignon and his team: the Vinarium. This unique 7,000-litre container, inspired by underwater ageing techniques, combines wood and stainless steel to offer optimal ageing conditions: 100% humidity and no trace of oxygen. This process uses the wine itself as a maturation medium, thus preserving the purity and aromatic depth of the wine, giving life to a white with a unique aromatic profile.

The vinification of this Côtes-du-Rhône begins in a traditional way before the barrels are immersed in the Vinarium® for an extended second fermentation of six to eight months. The ageing then continues for twenty-four months within the Vinarium.
