Description
The complexity and richness of a Tuscan red wine from Castello Banfi
The estate
A family-run estate, Castello Banfi has become a benchmark among Tuscan wines over the years. Renowned for its great Italian wines, the Banfi family pays meticulous attention to its vineyards, as demonstrated by the research carried out since 1982 on the cloning of the Sangiovese grape variety in order to produce exceptional wines.
The vineyard
Castello Banfi's Poggio all'Oro Riserva is a Tuscan wine made from vineyards planted on soils composed of brown silty clay sediments and limestone stones and pebbles that ensure optimum drainage. It has been produced since 1985 only in great vintages.
