Description
A duo of exceptional vintage champagnes
The property
Named after the famous monk Pierre Pérignon, procurator of the Abbey of Hautvillers in 1668, the champagne Dom Pérignon symbolizes a rich heritage and an unceasing quest for excellence. This visionary monk is often associated with the discovery of the Champagne method, a crucial milestone in the history of champagne. Dom Pérignon's commitment to quality and innovation continues, embodied by its current Cellar Master, Vincent Chaperon, who took over the torch in 2019. The house's philosophy, focused on the expression of vintages, reflects an ambition to create the "best wine in the world", a goal perpetuated since the appointment of Dom Pierre Pérignon as cellar master of the Abbey of Hautvillers.
Duo Vintage 2013 & 2015
Iconic cuvées recognized for their excellence by the finest connoisseurs, each Dom Pérignon Vintage magnifies the pure and authentic expression of its vintage in Champagne.
The Dom Pérignon Vintage 2013 reveals a rich and complex bouquet combining eucalyptus, mint, vetiver, mirabelle, apricot, orange blossom, pepper, cardamom and liquorice, with iodine and toasted touches. On the palate, the attack is creamy and airy, evolving with elegance and precision. The saline and persistent finish reveals the unique signature of the vintage.
The nose of the Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 opens with roasted and cocoa notes, evolving towards a floral bouquet of lime, jasmine and peony, enhanced by a subtle spicy touch. A beautiful freshness then appears, with aromas of chlorophyll, orange peel and green papaya. The delicate palate gradually reveals a beautiful generosity combining peach flesh, nectarine, citrus and gentian, to blossom on a remarkable length.
Vinification and aging
The winemaking process at Dom Pérignon strictly respects the principles of the Champagne method, with an absolute commitment to the faithful representation of the vintage. The prolonged maturation in the cellar, a resting time that far exceeds the standards of the appellation, allows this champagne to develop its complexity and aromatic depth.
Blend
These exceptional champagnes are the result of a secret blend of chardonnay and pinot noir.
