The property
Generosity, freshness and minerality are the three striking characteristics of the Henri Giraud Champagne House, established since the 17th century in the terroir of Aÿ and its Grand Crus.
Listening to his vineyard, Henri Giraud creates cuvées which, through a low-intervention vinification, are the perfect expression of the Champagne terroirs.
Advocating for the quality of natural wines and "Zero Pesticide", Henri Giraud was the first house to display an informative label from January 2018, providing access, via a QR Code, to the complete analysis results of its cuvées.
Vineyard
The uniqueness of the House's terroir comes from its full south exposure, its chalky subsoil typical of Champagne, as well as the cool and humid current of the Marne flowing towards Paris.
The wine
The Fût de Chêne MV19 - Ay Grand Cru cuvée is made from a base from the 2019 vintage, combined with reserve wines comprising several vintages.
Vinification and aging
Produced in limited quantity, this Brut champagne gets its uniqueness from its aging in small oak barrels from the Argonne forest.
Blend
The Fût de Chêne MV19 - Ay Grand Cru cuvée from Henri Giraud is the result of a blend of pinot noir and chardonnay, complemented by a portion of reserve wines.
