Characteristics and tasting advice for the Hemera Brut 2013 Cuvée from Maison Henriot
Tasting
Lively and elegant, the palate stands out with a harmonious structure, combining delicacy and precision.
The freshness and finesse of a vintage Brut champagne
The property
Founded in 1808, the Henriot Champagne House has been passionately and rigorously cultivating the Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs for 8 generations, this noble grape variety which will later be at the origin of the style of each of the Henriot cuvées. Highly appreciated at the Court of Holland, Henriot will later become a reference brand among the European aristocracy.
The vineyard
On a vineyard covering an area of 35 hectares, the champagnes from Maison Henriot are partly derived from the most beautiful terroirs of the Premiers and Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims, two emblematic Champagne vineyards.
The wine
Among the most emblematic cuvées of Maison Henriot, the vintage Hemera Brut champagne pays tribute to the Greek goddess of the day. This champagne perfectly embodies the alliance between a unique vintage and the blend of six exceptional Grands Crus.
Vinification and ageing
The clear wines are kept for a minimum of one year in the tank in order to preserve the significant ageing potential and the freshness of this exceptional cuvée. After bottling, the champagne undergoes a minimum of 12 years ageing on lees before leaving the cellar.
