Description
A vintage champagne combining aromatic expression and finesse
The property
Located in Dizy in the Marne Valley, the Champagne Jacquesson House, founded in 1798, was taken over by the Chiquet family in 1974. Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet, two passionate brothers, produce exceptional cuvées through their parcel approach and their unique philosophy of vinification and aging, expressing the unique character and richness of these very great 28-hectare chalk terroirs.
With its numbered cuvées recognized for their finesse, their aerial purity and their exceptional aging potential, Jacquesson is part of the elite of the great names of Champagne.
The wine
The Dizy Corne Bautray cuvée from Jacquesson comes from a one-hectare vineyard planted in 1960 within the Corne Bautray place, in the town of Dizy. Sloping, at the top of the hill and facing southwest, this Champagne terroir is planted on a clayey soil composed of millstone pebbles on Campanian chalk.
Blend
This 2012 vintage champagne from Jacquesson is a 100% chardonnay.
