Colour
The colour is pale gold. The effervescence is fine and delicate.

Nose
The nose develops aromas of ripe, candied and dried citrus fruits mixed with floral notes, gingerbread and also almond paste.

Indulgent and balanced, the palate reveals toasted notes and aromas of quince, lemon, limoncello as well as almond paste.

The property

The Krug Champagne House was founded in 1843 by Joseph Krug, a visionary and passionate man. It holds a unique library in the world consisting of more than 150 reserve wines, some of which are over 15 years old.

The wine

Every year since its foundation, Krug unveils a new edition of its Grande Cuvée in order to offer the most generous expression of champagne. This 171st Edition of Krug Grande Cuvée is made from a blend of 131 wines from 12 different years, the youngest dating from 2015 and the oldest from 2000. Making up 42% of the final blend, the reserve wines from the House's immense library reveal a rare roundness and exceptional aromatic richness.

This golden-lined box around the musical theme, contains a QR code giving access to an unprecedented composition.
