The elegance and structure of a Brut champagne signed by Mailly Grand Cru
The property
Located in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, the Champagne Mailly Grand Cru House is unique both for its terroir, which gives the cuvées finesse and balance, and for its contemporary history.
The year 1929 indeed marks the creation of the Mailly Champagne Producers Society, in response to the economic crisis that followed the First World War. The union of several winemakers aims to produce cuvées of great refinement, magnifying this terroir classified as Grand Cru in 1920.
Fresh and beautifully mineral, the wines of the Champagne Mailly Grand Cru House are recognized for their balance, their race style, and their great elegance.
The vineyard
Mailly Grand Cru watches over a 70-hectare terroir spread over more than 600 plots. 80 winemakers pay rigorous attention to this exceptional Champagne terroir.
The wine
Produced since the 1990 harvest, the L'Intemporelle cuvée from Mailly Grand Cru comes from a rigorous selection of chardonnay and pinot noir vineyards.
Vinification and aging
The grapes are hand-picked. Exclusive use of the first press. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks and barrels. The aging is carried out on slats in traditional chalk cellars. The dosage of this Brut cuvée is 6 to 7 g/liter.
Blend
This vintage champagne 2017 results from a blend of pinot noir (60%) and chardonnay (40%).
