The wine

The denomination of the Cuvée 1522 Grand Cru from Philipponnat refers to the date when the Philipponnat family settled in the village of Ay. This cuvée comes from the house's most beautiful vineyards, notably the historical plots of "Léon" in Ay.

Produced in very limited quantity, the Cuvée 1522 Grand Cru "Long Aging" from Philipponnat is a tribute to time and perfection. Resulting from a rigorous selection among illustrious terroirs. This vintage 2000 champagne, whose initials mean "Long Aging", benefits from a 20-year maturation in the House's cellars and a disgorgement carried out six months before its commercialization.
