The property
Located for 6 generations in Mesnil-sur-Oger, south of Epernay, the Champagne Pierre Péters House has been exclusively dedicated to the production of Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Champagne wines since 1919.
The Pierre Péters House is recognized for the high quality of its champagnes, vinified in small vats and then aged on fine lees, in order to authentically express the richness of the Champagne terroir and to preserve the varietal identity of the king grape, the chardonnay.
The vineyard
With an area of 19 hectares, the house's vineyard is exclusively located on the Côte des Blancs. This emblematic Champagne terroir owes its uniqueness to its chalky soil on the hillside.
The wine
A family project, L'Étonnant Monsieur Victor is a multi-vintage Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs champagne each edition of which is unveiled with a label created by Victor, the son of Pierre Péters. If the denomination of this vintage parcel cuvée MK refers to the artist Takashi Murakami, a source of inspiration for the creation of each of the labels of this champagne, the two digits correspond to the base year of the blend (here "17" for 2017).
