The estate

Founded by Fernando Algueira in 1979, the F. Algueira estate symbolises the rebirth of viticulture in Ribeira Sacra. At a time when this region seemed to have lost its rich viticultural heritage, the Algueira family committed themselves to bringing these lands back to life. The estate now embodies authentic know-how, the result of over forty years of hard work on steep slopes, in Doade and Abeleda. The Algueira family continues to perpetuate local traditions while integrating modern techniques to best express the uniqueness of their terroir.

The vineyard

Dolio 2020 is a wine from Galicia produced from vineyards planted on the steep terraces of Doade and Abeleda. These plots, patiently restored by the Algueira family, benefit from an ideal exposure and a geological diversity that gives the wine an intense and complex minerality. Manual labour and respect for the environment are at the heart of the vineyard management, ensuring high-quality production.

Blend

Dolio 2020 is the result of a blend of carefully selected indigenous grape varieties (mencía, brancellao, sousón, caíño, garnacha tintorera).
