The elegance and richness of an exceptional Australian wine
The property
Founded in 1969, Moss Wood is the second oldest estate in Margaret River. Passionately managed by Clare and Keith Mugford, this couple produces wines renowned for their elegance and remarkable longevity. Due to its similarities with Bordeaux terroirs, the region has naturally gravitated towards the emblematic grape varieties of Bordeaux and Chardonnay, praised by the greatest critics.
The vineyard
Located in Western Australia, Margaret River benefits from a unique terroir. Its temperate maritime climate, combined with gravelly soils dating back more than 1.6 billion years, allows the production of wines with great freshness, marked acidity, pronounced minerality and exceptional complexity.
Vinification and ageing
The grapes of each variety are harvested and vinified separately, then the wine is aged in 228L French oak (16% new wood).
