Description
Characteristics and Tasting Tips for the Pernand-Vergelesses Village 2024 from Rapet Père & Fils
Tasting
Colour
This wine shows a brilliant, pale yellow colour with slightly golden highlights, typical of Chardonnays from cool-climate vineyards.
Nose
The nose unfolds with finesse, revealing notes of citrus and white fruit, accompanied by floral touches and chalky nuances that evoke the limestone terroir of Pernand-Vergelesses.
Palate
The palate is slender and saline, driven by lively acidity and a beautiful mineral tension. The well-balanced structure offers a pure, focused texture without heaviness, leading to a lingering finish with notes of stone and white fruit.
Food and Wine Pairings
This wine is an ideal match for grilled fish, shellfish and poultry prepared with a creamy sauce. It also pairs beautifully with dishes made with lemon butter or light cream-based preparations, which highlight its tension and minerality.
Serving and Cellaring
We recommend serving the Pernand-Vergelesses Village 2024 at a temperature between 11 and 13°C, in order to fully reveal its balance between freshness and minerality.

The Estate
Rapet Père & Fils is a family-run estate in Burgundy, based in Pernand-Vergelesses at the foot of the hill of Corton. Now run by Vincent and Sylvette Rapet, the estate extends over around twenty hectares spread across Pernand-Vergelesses, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Aloxe-Corton, Beaune and Chorey-lès-Beaune. Recognised as a benchmark of the village, it cultivates a harmonious balance between Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, in keeping with certified organic viticulture.
The Vineyard
The vines behind this Pernand-Vergelesses Village are planted on the village's slopes, on the back of the hill of Corton, in limestone soils sometimes tinged with ferruginous clay. The varied exposures, between east and south-east, favour steady ripening of the Chardonnay. The vineyard is managed according to sustainable viticulture principles, with particular attention paid to biodiversity and soil management.
The Vintage
In Burgundy, the 2024 vintage is characterised by white wines with a fresh, balanced profile, showcasing aromatic purity, tension and precision in the Chardonnays.
Vinification and Ageing
For the production of its white wines, Rapet Père & Fils practises a gentle pressing of whole bunches in a pneumatic press, followed by cold settling at low temperature. The musts are then transferred to barrel for fermentation, with a controlled proportion of new oak, and aged on the lees with bâtonnage for several months, before bottling, generally after around one year of ageing.
Grape Variety
This wine is made exclusively from Chardonnay.
