The estate
Based in Pernand-Vergelesses, in Burgundy, since 1765 according to family tradition, as illustrated by a tastevin dated from that year, Rapet Père & Fils now farms around twenty hectares of vines spread across several communes of the Côte de Beaune. The estate is run by Vincent and Sylvette Rapet, joined from the 2022 vintage by their son Robin, who is gradually taking charge of the winemaking. The estate farms its entire vineyard according to the principles of organic agriculture, a certification officially recognised under the Vins Biologiques label.
The vineyard
This Savigny-Les-Beaune Village comes from Pinot Noir vines planted on deep, iron-rich soils, typical of the Savigny-lès-Beaune appellation. These soils, farmed organically, allow the roots to draw the nutrients they need naturally and let the terroir express itself fully.
Vinification and ageing
The grapes for this Savigny-Les-Beaune Village 2024 are harvested by hand, transported in small crates, then carefully sorted before going into vat. Fermentation lasts around fifteen days, with regular pigeages (punching down) to gently extract colour and tannins. The wine is then aged in barrels, of which around 20% are new oak, before being bottled.
Grape variety
100% Pinot Noir.
