The refinement and aromatic intensity of a Chilean red wine from Central Valley
The property
Santa Rita, located in the Maipo Alto wine region, is an emblematic property deeply rooted in the Chilean wine heritage. Nestled at the foot of the Andes, this region enjoys an exceptional geographical location and a Mediterranean climate that shapes the character of its wines. The history of the estate is marked by passion, know-how and a deep respect for nature and the vine.
The vineyard
Casa Real is a wine from Maipo Valley, an emblematic Chilean terroir in the heart of the Central Valley.
The vintage
A rainy winter promotes the replenishment of soil water reserves. Bud break, which began on 20 September, is homogeneous and uniform, preceding rapid vegetative growth. January is marked by significant rainfall, before a cool summer. Harvested between 15 and 31 March, the berries reveal their freshness, a beautiful acidity and fine tannins.
Vinification and ageing
Ageing in barrels, of which 82% are new, for 20 months.
Blend
Cabernet sauvignon (100%).
