The property

A source of inspiration since Antiquity, the Château Miraval has welcomed over the centuries illustrious figures such as Thomas Aquinas, the Prince of Naples, and the musician Jacques Loussier. In 1970, this French jazz pianist breathed new life into the estate by installing a recording studio, quickly frequented by the biggest rock icons.

In 2008, charmed by the charm and artistic aura of the place, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt acquired the property. They undertook an ambitious renovation of the estate and managed to elevate Miraval to the rank of the must-have references of the great rosés of Provence.

The vineyard

In the heart of the Var, in the town of Correns, the first organic village in France, Château Miraval benefits from a remarkable terroir. Its climate, influenced by the Mediterranean Sea, and its saline soils surrounded by olive trees give the Studio by Miraval, IGP Méditerranée wines, a unique identity, marked by a delicately iodized finish.

The wine

The Studio by Miraval celebrates the musical history of the estate, paying tribute to the famous recording studio where Pink Floyd notably recorded the mythical album The Wall.

Vinification and aging

The harvest is carried out early in the morning in order to preserve the aromatic freshness and avoid oxidation of the juices. The vinification, minimally interventionist, revolves around a direct pressing of the cinsault and tibouren in stainless steel tanks. A part of the grenache and rolle is vinified in tulip-shaped concrete tanks, whose ovoid shape promotes a natural resuspension of the lees, enhancing the texture and complexity of the wine.
