The estate

The Domaine de la Vougeraie was established in 1999 with the ambition to bring together, under one estate, all the Premiers Crus, Grands Crus and Monopoles gradually acquired by the Boisset family, wine merchants, since 1964. Advocating a viticulture that listens to its vineyard, the Domaine de la Vougeraie gives birth to cuvées which, by their precision, their purity, their elegance and their aromatic richness, are recognized as prestigious Burgundy wines. The Domaine de la Vougeraie oversees a terroir of 34 hectares of vines spread over 67 plots.

The vineyard

The cuvée "Les Pierres Blanches" from the Domaine de la Vougeraie is a Côte de Beaune wine from a vineyard of 2.213 hectares facing east on a mid-slope plot. This terroir, resting on a stony soil with very calcareous white earth and composed of silt, has been certified in Organic Agriculture since 2001.

Vinification and ageing

A pneumatic pressing in whole bunches is followed by a 24-hour settling. If fermentation begins in vats, it is finalized in barrels. Ageing for 14 months in barrels (of which 20% are new) and 2 months in stainless steel tanks. Stirring once a month during the waxing moon until December.

Blend

This Côte de Beaune Village "Les Pierres Blanches" 2022 from the Domaine de la Vougeraie is the result of a blend of chardonnay (95%) and pinot blanc (5%).
