A Provence Rose with a delicate freshness
The Cuvee Rose Coeur de Grain 2017 from Chateau de Selle is a fine example of the absolute best that the terroirs of the Provence region can offer.
Owned by Domaines Ott, Chateau de Selle is located in Taradeau, near the town of Draguignan in Provence. The arid climate and the limestone hills of the region lend the wines their signature style and a particular expression of aromas and flavours. The Chateau de Selle Coeur de Grain Rose 2017 produced in AOP appellation of Cotes de Provence authentically expresses the typical grape varieties of the region – a blend of Grenache (which brings structure), of Cinsault (known for its supple nature) and Mourvedre (for its fruity notes).
In the glass, the Chateau de Selle Coeur de Grain Rose 2017 shows off a pretty pale pink colour, illuminated by golden reflections. On the nose, the wine reveals intense citrus notes, evolving into floral notes as the liquid is swirled. On the palate, the attack is frank and lively, underlined by the elegance of citrus. The finish of this rose offers beautiful, persistent length. An elegant rose to appreciate in the brightness of its youth.
