Description
The typicity and balance of a Patagonian white wine
The property
Son of the famous Argentine oenologist Jorge Riccitelli, Matias Riccitelli founded the eponymous estate in 2009. Located in the province of Mendoza, this estate oversees a 20-hectare vineyard spread over three unique terroirs at the foot of the Andes mountain range.
Matias Riccitelli passionately crafts Argentine wines whose refinement and aromatic richness are recognized beyond borders.
The vineyard
This cuvée is a wine from Patagonia made from ungrafted old vines, located in the wine-growing areas of Allen and Ingeniero Huergo, in the province of Rio Negro. Averaging over sixty years old, the vines are planted at an altitude ranging from 435 to 500 meters on a limestone soil composed mainly of alluvium and silt.
Vinification and aging
Harvested by hand, the grapes undergo a rigorous sorting before a skin maceration. The wine is fermented in barrels and in concrete vats. Aging in the containers used for fermentation, then blending. Unfiltered and unrefined wine.
