Description
A delicate and brilliant IGP Méditérranée wine
The estate
Since ancient times, Château Miraval has been the home of many great men. Thomas Aquinas, the Prince of Naples and also Jacques Loussier have lived within its pastel pink walls. In 1970, this famous French jazz pianist revolutionised Château Miraval: installing a recording studio where all the greatest rock legends were invited. In 2008, this magical place conquered the hearts of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt who decided to buy the estate. Château Miraval underwent renovation to modernise the estate. Reaching the pinnacle of excellence, the couple successfully elevated Château Miraval's reputation, considered as one of the finest estates in the region.
The vineyard
Located in the heart of the Var, the illustrious Château Miraval benefits from an exceptional terroir in Correns, the first organic village in France. Enjoying a climate that is strongly influenced by the Mediterranean sea spray, a terroir composed of saline soils and plots surrounded by olive trees, Studio by Miraval 2021 showcases its unique character and an almost iodine-like finish.
The wine
Studio Rosé By Miraval 2021 is a IGP Mediterranean wine that pays tribute to the famous recording studio and the Mediterranean lifestyle.
The vintage
The mild, dry winter favoured early budding of the vines. The cold and rainy spring was punctuated by two frosts, which had a slight impact on the young shoots and slowed down the vegetative cycle. Flowering was uniform. Although the dry conditions during the summer were ideal for preserving the vine’s healthy condition, the rigour of the teams in managing the vineyard enabled them to preserve the freshness of the berries until the harvest.
Vinification and ageing
Harvesting is carried out early in the morning in order to limit the oxidation of the juice and to preserve the freshness and purity of the berries, harvested at full maturity. Low intervention vinification. Direct pressing of the Cinsault and Tibouren grapes in stainless steel tanks. Partial vinification of Grenache and Rolle in concrete tulip-shaped vats whose ovoid shape encourages the natural suspension of the lees, thus developing the final structure of the wine.
