Description

Characteristics and tasting advice for Lallier's Brut Nature

Tasting

Color
Pale yellow hue sprinkled with golden reflections.

Nose
The nose opens with a first mineral (chalk) and floral (white flowers) impression. As the wine breathes, fragrances of yellow fruits (peach, mirabelle plum), white fruits (pear) and citrus (lemon) are revealed, enhanced by delicate brioche touches.

Palate
A lively attack precedes a balanced palate whose beautiful salinity enhances the aromatic length.

A non-dosed champagne imbued with freshness and precision

The property

Located in the heart of Aÿ, one of the 17 Champagne villages classified as Grand Cru, the Champagne Lallier House has been writing its history since its foundation by René Lallier in 1906. In constant pursuit of excellence, René-James Lallier, grandson of the founder, opens a new page in the house's history by carrying out major modernization work on the winemaking tools from 1996. In 2004 Francis Tribaut, a passionate Champagne native who advises other great Champagne names, acquires Maison Lallier.

The cuvées of Maison Lallier are recognized for their finesse and their authentic expression of the richness of the most beautiful Champagne terroirs.

The wine

Expression of a single harvest, this Brut Nature is made from grapes from two great Champagne terroirs, Aÿ (pinot noir) and the Côte des Blancs (chardonnay from Oger, Cramant, Cuis, Grauves).

Vinification and aging

Vinification in stainless steel tanks. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation before aging on fine lees for a minimum of 6 months in stainless steel tanks. This Brut Nature benefits from a minimum of 4 years aging in bottle before late disgorging a few days before dressing.

Blend

Chardonnay (2/3)
Pinot noir (1/3).
