A great Australian wine from an exceptional terroir

The estate

Founded in 1969, Yarra Yering is one of the oldest and most beautiful vineyards in the Yarra Valley, in the state of Victoria. Voted "Winery of the Year 2024" by The Real Review, a reference in Australian wine criticism, this estate is an iconic must-see. Under the direction of Sarah Crowe, voted several times as Australia's best winemaker, and Andrew George, recognised as the country's best vineyard manager, Yarra Yering offers cuvées acclaimed by enthusiasts worldwide.

The vineyard

The Yarra Valley vineyard, located in the state of Victoria in Australia, is one of the country's most prestigious wine regions. Known for its cool climate, this region mainly produces elegant wines.

The cuvée

The grapes come from plots planted in 1990 on a rocky hillside in terraces, with classic Portuguese grape varieties.

Vinification and ageing

Hand-harvested, the bunches are destemmed while preserving as many whole berries as possible. The must is first foot-trodden, in the manner of traditional Portuguese lagars, to extract the tannins from the skins and seeds. The process continues with a gentle pressing, followed by ageing for 10 months in old oak barrels.

Blend

Touriga nacional (28%)
Tinta cão (28%)
Tinta amarela (17%)
Tinta roriz (11%)
Alvarelhão (11%)
Sousão (5%)
